Carbondale Interfaith Council meetings

  • The end-of-year meeting of the Carbondale Interfaith Council will be held at 6:00 PM on May 24th with refreshments and a program of celebration. Location: Southern Illinois Healthcare Office, University Mall, Conference Room 101-B and D.

Carbondale Interfaith Council and community events

  • The Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration will be held on Sunday, January 17th at 4:00 PM at the Civic Center in Carbondale. The Spirit of Dr. King Award will be announced at that time.
  • The Race Unity Group of Carbondale will host a free film viewing of Racial Taboo, a film by Brian Grimm, on January 31st from 3:00 to 5:30 PM at the Varsity Theater for the Arts. The film looks at our history, uses comedy and candid interviews to help the audience gain a common understanding of our past and how it affects our present.
